BMW is planning to launch the all new 3 series in Indian market on 21 August, 2019. 3 series has did well in the Indian market and set a benchmark in terms of handling department. It is going to be interesting to see how the new 3 series will create the impact on Indian market, considering how Mercedes and Audi both the rivals have been working really hard to take on the entry level luxury car market.
Design:
Exterior:
The new BMW 3 series now looks more mascular than the outgoing model. From front the newly desgined headlamps with the new characteristic BMWs LED DRLs makes this car look stand apart. The bumper has been redesigned with more curves and sharper lines, bigger kidney grille giving this car aggressive look.
From side , the BMW 3 series looks familiar as the design is pretty similar to its pre-decessor yet certain elements like shoulder line which makes this car mascular. The newly designed alloy wheels with sharp edges looks quite modern and sporty. The L-shaped tail lights are something which splits the opinion about how the rear of 3 series looks. Some will fight the rear section to be subtle and sophisticated while other might demand for more bling.
Interior:
The cabin space inside the new BMW 3 series will be exactly the same as the current model. However, the quality of the materials inside the cabin have been improved. The car feels solid as always considering the fact BMW is now working on making all the car in its lineup to be lighter to aid the fuel efficiency and better power output. There seems no panel gaps and car gets number storage spaces inside which makes it practical too.
The car gets an 8.8 inch touchscreen infotainment system as standard and customer's can opt for the 10.25 inch system as well which is offered as an option. The base variants of the new 3 series are expected to get the LED headlights, reverse parking camera, three-zone automatic climate control which will make it great package overall.
Engine:
The all new BMW 3 series will be offered in 2.0 litre petrol producing around 258 hp power and 400 Nm of torque and 2.0 litre diesel engine option producing 190 hp power and 400 Nm of torque , which are going to come with the 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Competitions:
The 2019 BMW will be competing with the Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-class, Volvo S60 and Jaguar XE.
