India is a SUV loving country and companies offering compact SUVs, with their SUV like styling , host of features and attractive pricing has made the customers inclined towards them. That is why Carmakers have number of options to choose from. And now KIA is here to join the party.
KIA is all set to launch its first car in INDIA , the SELTOS SUV on 22 August 2019. THe CAR has already recieved 6,000 orders in the first day of pre-bookings and final numbers are expected to be much higher than that.
DESIGN:
EXTERIOR:
The car looks promising and has been designed keeping in mind the Indian Customer's needs and road conditions. The design of the car is quite aesthetic with sharp line on the front and shoulder giving it a bold presence. The wide Tiger nose grille with chrome surroundings on front certainly gives this car unique look . Coming to the eyes of the car, with sleek headlamps and LED daytime running lights(DRLs) Seltos looks quite sharp and distinctive. From side the Car gets Cladding on wheel arches , 17 inch machined alloy wheels looks stunnning .
Chrome window linings and chrome door handles adds appeal to this car. Roof rails gives rugged look to this car. The rear of this car with chrome plate housing KIA logo in the centre and beautifully designed tail lamps with LED insert looks purposeful . Shark fin antenna, spoiler and cladding on the bumper gives this car urban look.
INTERIOR:
The Seltos SUV gets an 8 inch heads up display which gives host of informations while driving without getting distracted. After the MG Hector KIA Seltos becomes the second connected SUV and customers can control the car's ignition , AC Controls and other features with the help of their phone. The Seltos gets Android Auto , Apple CarPlay , sound mood lamp and rear sunshade curtain to add plush factor in this car.
KIA Seltos is expected to be launched at the price ranging between Rs.11 lakh and 17 lakh. Having equipped with number of segment first features , this car both petrol and diesel engine options considering the needs of the customers.KIA will offer 1.4 litre GDI Turbo petrol engine , 1.5 litre diesel engine , both the engines will be BS6 compliant. The car gets number of Gearbox options to choose from , options includes a six-speed manual transmission, a six-speed toque convertor automatic , a seven speed DCT(dual clutch transmission) and a CVT(continuously variable transmissiion) gearbox.
Strategy:
KIA is focussing on after-sales services to all those potential customers planning to buy SELTOS for tension free ownership experience.
The Carmaker has setup 192 service centres across 160 cities in India with four Parts Dispatch Centre (PDCs) covering all the four corners - Kolkata, Chennai, Navi-Mumbai and Delhi-NCR. Kia is also planning to offer the Kia Link App with the help of which customers can keep track of service and also gets notified about the upcoming service . Customers can also book a service appointment with the app itself in Seltos.
